Many doulas partner with Elite Postpartum Doulas because they want to spend more time supporting families and less time focused on marketing, networking, and administrative tasks. We believe exceptional doulas deserve exceptional support, and our goal is to help experienced and aspiring postpartum professionals grow sustainable, fulfilling businesses while making a meaningful impact on Seattle-area families.

That's completely okay. Many successful postpartum doulas come from backgrounds such as nannying, newborn care, nursing, teaching, childcare, or other caregiving professions. During our informational session and interview process, we'll learn more about your experience and discuss whether becoming a postpartum doula aligns with your goals, strengths, and interests.

Availability varies from doula to doula. Some professionals pursue occasional contract opportunities, while others build a fuller schedule by supporting multiple families over time. Because doulas operate as independent contractors, you have the flexibility to pursue the opportunities that best align with your availability, location, and professional goals.

Elite Postpartum Doulas partners with independent contractors. Doulas operate their own businesses and independently choose whether to pursue contract opportunities introduced through our agency. Many doulas appreciate the flexibility and independence this model provides, along with access to administrative support, professional resources, and introductions to families seeking postpartum support.

Once onboarding is complete, you'll gain access to contract opportunities that may align with your location, availability, experience, and preferences. When there is mutual interest, we'll help facilitate introductions and complimentary consultations between you and prospective families. Families ultimately decide which doula they'd like to move forward with, and doulas maintain the freedom to choose which opportunities fit their business and schedule.

No! While certification is required before accepting contracts through Elite Postpartum Doulas, you do not need to be certified before attending an informational session or beginning the interview process.
